Man Utd 2-0 Swansea - 5 Reasons Reds Can Improve Under David Moyes
5. The Boost In Confidence
Manchester United's win over Swansea not only keeps them in touch with the teams around them and in contention for a top four spot, but it will also boost the confidence. Ahead of kick-off, United went into this game off the back of five defeats at Old Trafford this season, including four of their last six at home. And though the so-called 'Theatre of Dreams' is still some way off being the impenetrable fortress it once was, it will do no harm to David Moyes and co. to return to winning ways in front of their own fans. More confidence from this performance can be drawn from the fact United kept a clean sheet. The Reds had only kept a clean sheet three times in their last 10 Premier League encounters up until Saturday, and this shut-out is another step in the right direction. Finally, it was good to see Danny Welbeck score again - particularly with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie still out injured. This was Welbeck's eighth goal in 15 appearances this season and it looks like he is beginning to at last live up to his potential with United.
