Man Utd Next Manager: 8 Candidates To Replace David Moyes
2. Jürgen Klopp (Current Odds: 9/1)
Chances of him taking the job: Moderate. Chances of it being offered: Very high. Seen by the majority of fans as the ideal candidate to take over at Old Trafford, the 46-year old current Borussia Dortmund head honcho has seen his reign at the black-and-yellows take them from the bring of financial destruction to a force amidst European football once again, leading them to a heart-breaking close shave defeat in last season's UEFA Champion's League final. Renowned for his passionate energy and never-say-die attitude, Klopp's Dortmund have seen the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal fall at their wayside in recent seasons as he took them beyond Bayern to a brace of league titles between 2010 and 2012. Outspoken for his appreciation of traditional English football, full of pace, energy, aggression and passion, Klopp seems perfect to take over the reigns at Manchester United and I believe is their #1 choice for the job. The question them becomes one of whether he wants it. Quoted this morning as loyal to his Borussia Dortmund side, one might wonder if the recent exodus of players from his title winning team (including Shinji Kagawa, Mario Götze and star-striker Robert Lewandowski come summer) might persuade Klopp it's time for a change. Having managed Dortmund from the brink since 2008, Klopp has spent a tremendous 6 years at the German side and might see the obvious promotion to United's chair as a merit he's earned.
Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
