1. Louis van Gaal (Current Odds: 5/4)
Chances of him taking the job: High. Chances of it being offered: High. Currently overwhelming favourite to be the one in the chair next season, 62-year old van Gaal, currently head coach of the Dutch National side, brings a wealth of experience, honours and achievements to the table. With 7 league titles to his name over 4 different clubs- the likes of which are Ajax, FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich and AZ Alkmaar- 3 national cups and a Champion's League, van Gaal certainly has the pedigree for the job. In a time where Manchester United will be looking for experience, discipline and a steady hand to bring together an aging, egotistical squad, looking toward a man with over 28 years of managerial experience at a high level seems to be a wise move. Whilst some have speculated about his age being an issue, it should not be forgotten than Ferguson managed United into his 70s and Jupp Heynckes took Bayern Munich to a famous treble last season in his 67th year. Whilst Klopp might be seen as the better long-term solution for United's managerial role, van Gaal's instant credence with the dressing room is nothing to be sniffed at. Looking by far the most likely to be the one in United's dugout next season, if it is van Gaal, United's fans should relax in knowing they've got a top man.
