Man Utd: Ranking Premier League Goalkeepers From Worst To Best

9. Andy Goram

Andy Goram spent one very forgettable season at Manchester United in 2001. Brought in as short-term cover by Sir Alex Ferguson on loan, Goram's stay at Old Trafford was met with much derision and the Scottish international managed just the two appearances. The former Rangers keeper suffered from mild schizophrenia, and was the subject of a popular terrace chant that went: "Two Andy Gorams, there's only two Andy Gorams!" though that was about the most noteworthy aspect of his stay. He left United after less than six months and joined Hamilton Academical on a trial basis, and also had stints at Coventry and Oldham Athletic. Though he bombed at United, Goram was voted in a 2001 poll of Rangers fans as Rangers' greatest ever goalkeeper. He failed to leave much of an impression at Old Trafford, however.
