Man Utd Transfer News: Robert Lewandowski Wants Old Trafford Move?

Telegraph. Current club Borussia Dortmund informed the Polish international of a bid from the Red Devils last summer, and though the offer was then rejected, Lewandowski made it quite clear that he wanted the deal to be sanctioned. It is now looking increasingly likely that the marksman will move on in the summer, but one obstacle standing in the way of a move to the table-toppers is the fact United would first have to make room up front for the star. Sir Alex Ferguson already has four strikers at Old Trafford and clearly something has to give if a move for Lewandowski is to be a realistic one. The continued speculation over the uncertainty of Wayne Rooney's United future looks set to be resolved in the summer, with some claiming a move to PSG is on the cards, while Javier Hernandez' Old Trafford career is similarly far from black and white with the Mexican reportedly frustrated at his limited appearances this season. It is understood Lewandowski is now waiting to see what will happen at United in the summer transfer window before deciding on whether to move to Manchester or Munich, and if one of either Rooney or Hernandez do depart, the Dortmund man could be one step closer to a move to United.
