Man Utd Transfers: 10 Deals Van Gaal Still Needs To Complete

6. Moving Anderson & Zaha On

Even before Van Gaal came into the club, it looked like both Anderson and Wilfried Zaha's time at United was already limited. David Moyes had all but confirmed openly that Zaha was not a first team option, while Anderson's rare starts in the league proved his back-up status in the squad. The Englishman has already attracted a good deal of transfer speculation - including being involved indirectly in the series of events that ended Tony Pulis' short reign at Crystal Palace. But so far, any move has stalled, and Anderson seems merely to be stagnating at the club. If, as expected, United bring in more attacking midfield options, they will have Ashley Young, Adnan Januzaj, Juan Mata, and Antonio Valencia far closer to the first team than either of the pair, so moving them on would seem the smartest approach.
