Juan Mata is precisely the type of player United are after right now. A creative, goal-scoring midfielder with great vision and passing abilities - a little like Paul Scholes, who the Red Devils STILL haven't replaced. Another boost is that the Spain star is apparently unwanted at current club Chelsea with their manager Jose Mourinho inexplicably allowing the attacker to rot away on the bench. This has led to speculation that the Red Devils could "rescue him from his Stamford Bridge nightmare" yet it seems unlikely at best the Blues would sell to an English rival. Mata would be seen as a dream arrival at Old Trafford, particularly given their midfield woes at present, with the likes of Anderson and Tom Cleverley toiling badly. But instead it is more likely we will see him in the red and white of Atletico Madrid than United.
