This list has profiled a series of central midfield options for Louis van Gaal this summer and while all of them would be perfect additions at Old Trafford, they each pale into comparison to Arturo Vidal, who is exactly the type of player United need right now. Vidal has emerged as United's No.1 transfer target in recent weeks following the in-demand Juventus star's fine performances for Chile at the World Cup. Vidal excelled for his country at the finals in Brazil and put in a series of solid performances despite the fact he isn't 100% fit. That he was able to represent Chile despite undergoing knee surgery weeks prior to the tournament is a credit to his courage and determination and the Red Devils undoubtedly need a player with his gritty attitude. The midfield enforcer reminds us of Roy Keane in that he is a tough tackling midfielder who doesn't shy away from a challenge and leaves everything out on the field. A combative player, Vidal is the answer to Manchester City's Yaya Toure and could dominate for United the same way Toure does for City. Van Gaal simply has to pay whatever it takes to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams this summer - regardless of his questionable injury record. Who do you think Manchester United need to sign before transfer deadline day? Let us know in the comment section, below.
