Man Utd Transfers: 10 More Players Louis van Gaal MUST Sign Before Deadline Day
4. Juan Cuadrado
On that note, Manchester United could also benefit from signing another winger this summer. They broke the British transfer record to bring in Real Madrid flier Angel Di Maria this week but when you look at their other options on the flanks it hardly inspires confidence. Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young simply aren't good enough and Louis van Gaal ideally needs to sign someone else to compliment Di Maria in the wide areas. Juan Cuadrado on one wing and Di Maria on the other would be the stuff of dreams for United fans. Cuadrado has just enjoyed a terrific World Cup campaign for Colombia and has come to prominence recently, with the Red Devils repeatedly being linked with a possible move for the Fiorentina star in the weeks that have followed. Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has insisted Cuadrado won't be sold this summer but Cuadrado himself is less certain of his club future, and poured fuel on the fire of rumours linking him with a switch to the Premier League recently by saying: 'My future does not depend on me, there is still time until the market closes, no? I don't know...' United would have to stump up around £30 million to persuade Fiorentina to part with the South American, who scored 11 Serie A goals last season and shone at the World Cup finals. He's certainly better than Young and Valencia and has a far better output in the goal-scoring department. His arrival would add some much-needed flair to United's wing should a move come to fruition before deadline day.
