Heart could rule over head from both parties should Cristiano Ronaldo elect to return to the club that made him a global footballing superstar.

A brace in Real Madrid's Champions League-winning 4-1 trouncing of Juventus capped off another incredible season for the Portugese international after netting 42 times in a La Liga campaign that saw Real clinch the title after topping the division for all but four weeks of the campaign.

Press in Portugal have since reported that Los Blancos will face astronomical bids to poach his services from the Bernabeu, with offers over £150million allegedly expected for his signature.

Though they may have to fend off challenges from other interested parties, Manchester United would immediately re-establish themselves as footballing giants on the global stage should the multiple-time Ballon d'Or winner elect to ply his trade in front of the Old Trafford faithful yet again.

Ahead of their return to the Champions League following their Europa League win, The Red Devils would reap the benefits of Ronaldo's brand alongside his gifted skills, and may consider the lofty price tag money well spent should he be able to once again deftly guide them to Premier League glory.
