To Replace: Javier Hernandez Alternatively, Manchester United could bring in a 'marquee name' during the process of replacing Javier Hernandez. You could make the case that United would need to sign another high-level striker should they lose 'Chicharito' considering Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney are inconsistent and Robin van Persie injury-prone. Van Persie made only 21 Premier League appearances last season after battling for match fitness and showed worrying signs of his injury nightmare during his Arsenal days. The Dutchman will likely miss the season curtain-raiser against Swansea City at the weekend and should United sell Hernandez, manager Louis van Gaal would be shorter still on attacking options. A world class replacement for 'Little Pea' would be Edinson Cavani. Cavani has been linked with a move away from current club Paris Saint-Germain this summer and was noticeably omitted from the French side's marketing promotion of their new away strip at the end of last month, adding fuel to gossip that he's set to quit the Parc des Princes. The Uruguayan is apparently unsettled at PSG and is unhappy at having to play second fiddle to star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is preferred by manager and former United defender Laurent Blanc. Cavani recently teased that he could play in England this season by declaring his love for the Premier League and could be persuaded to ply his trade at Old Trafford this summer. Who do you think Louis van Gaal should sign to replace his five outcasts? Share your thoughts in the comments thread, below.
