Man Utd Transfers: 10 Players To Replace Louis Van Gaal's Outcasts

9. Santiago Arias

To Replace: Rafael In the event of Southampton being unwilling to sell Clyne this summer, United could turn to another up-and-coming right-back in Santiago Arias. The starlet has been making waves in Holland recently with PSV and has been on the Red Devil's radar since the David Moyes administration. Moyes was keen on signing the 22-year-old defender this summer and had earmarked him as a potential transfer target just one month before he got the sack in April. And now, successor Louis van Gaal could pick up where his predecessor left off in snapping up the exciting Colombia international. Arias represented his country at this summer's World Cup and was named in their 23-man squad despite only being a relative youth, which is indicative of his future potential. Moyes is reported to have scouted the rookie on a number of occasions and with Rafael set to get the chop by van Gaal, the former Netherlands coach could share that interest.
