Moyes was keen on signing the 22-year-old defender this summer and had earmarked him as a potential transfer target just one month before he got the sack in April. And now, successor Louis van Gaal could pick up where his predecessor left off in snapping up the exciting Colombia international. Arias represented his country at this summer's World Cup and was named in their 23-man squad despite only being a relative youth, which is indicative of his future potential.
