Vidal is Manchester United's No.1 transfer target this summer with the former English champions chasing the highly-rated Juventus star for the last two months, to so-far little success. However, reports claim United are on the brink of finally landing the midfielder, who was snapped signing a Red Devils shirt over the weekend. Vidal is an all-round midfield star well versed in defensive and offensive duties who can contribute to both defence and attack. He is known as Il Guerriero ("The Warrior") in the Italian press for his combative, tough-tackling style of play and is famed for his take-no-nonsense tenacity. United have been trying to sign the Chilean all summer and may finally have got their man. If that is the case, Louis van Gaal will have succeeded where Sir Alex Ferguson for so long failed in finally improving the centre of United's midfield, which has long-been a notorious weak point. Vidal would help shore the club up in the middle of the park and could well be the Red Devil's answer to Yaya Toure of neighbours City.
