Man Utd Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory

10. Mats Hummels

Seemingly everyone and their visually-impaired granny can see that Man Utd are currently lacking in the centre-half positions. Marcos Rojo was brought in from Sporting Lisbon last summer and has started to find some decent form over the last month or two. Where Utd fall short, though, is on finding somebody to partner him. Whereas Rojo is a defender€™s defender, a ball-playing partner would be ideal to bring in with him. In terms of that sort of centre-half, there€™s none better than Mats Hummels at present. The Borussia Dortmund skipper has admirers all over Europe and is one of those players who could essentially walk into any side in the world. A great reader of the game and much in the style of Rio Ferdinand, Hummels would be an essential part of any team. Whether that side ends up as Man Utd, that remains to be seen. The Old Trafford club already showed intense interest in Hummels last summer, and look set to return with a £35 million bid once the season is over. United definitely need Mats Hummels, it€™s just the case that Mats Hummels may not really need Man Utd.
