Man Utd Transfers: 10 World Cup Stars To Target This Summer
8. Luke Shaw
As well as targeting two new centre-backs, Louis van Gaal also needs a left-back with veteran Patrice Evra facing an uncertain future at Manchester United. The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer and there have been no indications he is set to be handed a renewal, leading to reports that we are lining up a big money offer for Luke Shaw. The England and Southampton fullback has made Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad for the World Cup and all eyes will be on the teenager with a number of other clubs, including Chelsea, also keeping tabs on the starlet. Big things are expected of Shaw, so much so he has already been compared to world's most expensive player Gareth Bale, while his tendency to play attacking football will ensure he will be a hit with both fans and 'Total Football' educated Louis van Gaal. It could take a bid in the region of £30 million to secure Shaw but in forking out for the youngster, we would be ensuring we have left-back nailed down for years to come.
