5. Marouane Fellaini
New Manchester United manager David Moyes wants to swoop on former club Everton for two of their stars - Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini. And while he has been
given the green light to sign the latter, the former, he has been told, is not for sale. United's need for a new left-back is urgent but so too is the necessity to bring in a new midfielder, and Fellaini would be a great acquisition. The Belgian midfielder has a £23 million release clause - which makes him affordable - and the 25-year-old could bring something to the United team they haven't had in a long time. Not since the days of Roy Keane have the Red Devils had a world quality, box-to-box midfielder, and that's exactly what Fellaini is. The Toffees star has been dubbed
"unplayable" by his peers and has the ability to play offensively and defensively, while his 6 ft "4 inch frame makes him a menacing threat from set-pieces. Fellaini has excellent technique and can play in a holding midfield role similar to Michael Carrick or can play in a more advanced role up front. His versatility would give United a cutting edge next season and Moyes knows the player inside out, having first brought him to England from Standard Liege in 2008.
