Man Utd Transfers: 5 Areas Moyes Must Strengthen In January

2. Left Wing

Another position that is in on the face of it well stocked but in actual fact is very precarious thanks to the ineptitude of the players that are supposed to perform there. Ashley Young and Nani are the prime candidates for that position, but both have been nowhere near the first team, with each player fading away into the background after pretty hefty transfer fees when they joined the club. Young's form has dipped significantly since he arrived at Old Trafford, with his reputation becoming more and more tarnished with accusations of diving, whilst Nani has been just as ineffective. Both players have something to prove yet both seem unwilling to prove it, with 18-year-old sensation Adnan Januzaj already performing more consistently than the debatable duo. But the youngster cannot do it all by himself, meaning that in addition to Young and Nani needing to be sold off, another player has to be introduced, possibly even two. The trouble is, who? Marco Reus could be the answer, with the young German a perfect blend of skill and determination, and one who already has seven goals this season. The question of whether Moyes can attract such a star name to the club rears its ugly head once more, but with a bit of persuasion, Reus could be the man United desperately need.
