Man Utd Transfers: 5 Deals That Definitely Won’t Happen

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo The former Manchester United favourite scored 118 goals in 292 appearances at Old Trafford between 2003/09, and during that time won practically everything there is worth winning in English football including three Premier League crowns, one FA Cup, one Community Shield, two League Cup's and the UEFA Champions League. He also managed to squeeze in the coveted Ballon d'Or during all that. No surprise then that one of United's most successful ever players has been tipped with a move back to the club. According to reports, he is all set to refuse to sign a new deal at the Bernabeu and has even told his former United pals that he would relish a move back to Manchester. He could even move for "just" £60 million, too. Only £60 million? Because we all know that debt-riddled United have that sort of loose change to toss around. Unfortunately, it's the other Manchester club who are endowed with the Abu-Dhabi Billions. United have never spent that sort of cash on anyone and won't start now. You'll only be seeing Ronaldo back at Old Trafford in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals. Source(s): The Mirror
