Man Utd Transfers: 5 Left-Backs David Moyes Must Consider Before Window Closes
3. Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw is considered among the best young full-backs in world football at present with the Southampton star's impressive performances earning rave reviews this season. Early in the campaign, the Saints were in the top four and had the second-best defensive record in Europe, and that was thanks largely to the talents of Shaw. The precocious 18-year-old signed a new contract at St Mary's last July, though that has not deterred the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United. The two are set to fight it out in a £30 million battle for the starlet's signature as they each seek to replace Ashley Cole and Patrice Evra, respectively. Still a teenager, Shaw has his very best years ahead of him, and has all the makings of a future star, though preferably United need someone to go into the side immediately.
