Man Utd Transfers: 5 Left-Backs David Moyes Must Consider Before Window Closes

2. Filipe Luis

Filipe Luis is considered one of the best attacking left-backs in the game. Luis had stints at Dutch and Spanish giants Ajax and Real Madrid earlier in his career but it was at Deportivo and Atletico Madrid where he has really come to the fore. With Deportivo, he helped his side win the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2008 while at Atletico he has marshalled the Spaniards into second place in La Liga, level on points with Barcelona. Luis has only been capped four times by Brazil and it is uncertain if he will make Luiz Felipe Scolari's 23-man squad, with Real Madrid's Marcelo preferred. But that should not detract from his ability and there aren't many better attacking full-backs in world football today - and Moyes perhaps realises this as he has scouted the star.
