3. Nani
The Portugese winger was signed from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, in a switch which saw him follow former team mate and fellow countryman Cristano Ronaldo at Old Trafford. It's hard to believe now that Nani enjoyed a more prolific start to his career at United than the man set to scoop the Ballon D'Or next month. Nani contributed the same amount of goals as Ronaldo (19) in his first 100 appearances for the club, but provided
21 more assists. His electrifying trickery and ball skills seem distant memories now, as Nani has struggled for form and consistency over the last couple of seasons. It looked like he was all set to leave the club in the summer, with Monaco touted to be
interested in snapping up the winger who appeared to be running down his contract. A move away appeared to suit all parties but failed to transpire. Instead Moyes saw fit to hand Nani a new five year contract in September, tying him to the club until the summer of 2018. Many queried the logic behind such a long contract at the time and on the evidence of this season Nani has done nothing to dispel those doubts. Eight league appearances have resulted in no goals and no assists. If there are still clubs interested in securing the winger's services either in January or next summer, Moyes should seriously consider whether he should cut short Nani's time at Old Trafford.
Fact about the Flop: Patrice Evra scored and created more goals in the Premier League than Nani last season...out gunned.
