Young has been the subject of vehement criticism over recent months as a result of his abject showings and theatrical diving. The emergence of Januzaj and the resurgence of Valencia means that Young's first team opportunities are now increasingly limited. He finds himself way down the pecking order at Old Trafford and looks to be a shadow of the player that United forked out around £15 million for in the summer of 2011. Perhaps most significantly, Young has never quite managed to win over the crowd and has been an easy, but justified, target for much of the fan's frustrations over the team's poor performance. He was warned about his diving antics last season by Ferguson but clearly hasn't learned his lesson and this has only served to make him even more unpopular with the Old Trafford faithful. If Young was a world beater then there is no doubt the fans and media would turn a blind eye to his diving, but quite simply, he isn't. At 28, Young is a couple of years older than the other players we've listed, so his resale value is quickly diminishing. His contract runs until 2016, therefore United hold all the cards as far as a transfer out of the club goes. It is doubtful that Moyes will be able to recoup anything near the figure paid for the player but he should cut his losses now and reserve the No. 17 shirt for a player whose best days are still in front of him. Fact about the Flop: Young fired off 27 shots in the Premier League last season, finding the net on zero occasions...must try harder. Statistics courtesy of ESPN
