Man Utd Transfers: 5 Realistic Targets For David Moyes

4. Leighton Baines

Baines Everton legend Kevin Ratcliffe considers it "inevitable" that Leighton Baines will leave Goodison Park this summer, with the defender tipped to follow former manager David Moyes to Old Trafford. The England international has spent the last six seasons of his career playing under the stewardship of the Scotsman after Moyes signed him from Wigan and since then has gone on to establish himself as one of the Premier League's top left-backs alongside Ashley Cole. And he is considered by some as the ideal replacement for the veteran Patrice Evra, 32, who is wanted by Monaco. That would leave United with a hole to fill at left-back and despite the promising performances put in by Alexander Buttner of late, it is thought the English champions need someone with a bit more experience. And Ratcliffe, who made 348 appearances for the Toffees, remarked:
€œIt€™s not about Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines wanting to stick around. I think if big bids come in for them then inevitably they€™re going to go."
