1. To Put Him In The Best Possible Shape To Entertain Us In Brazil
So many times have England gone into a European Championship or World Cup relying on Wayne Rooney. I would love to say that I dont see that happening again this year, and that some of our younger players will step up instead. However, with pundits keen to stress that they dont want to pressure them, I dont see that being the case. Lets be clear that Englands chances in Brazil will rest squarely on the shoulders of Rooney delivering. As right or wrong as that might be, we need to make sure that our one world-class player is in the best possible shape to deliver. I know that he has been in good form so far this season, and delivering as Man Utds best player. However, as this game we love being as much mental as it is physical, Im not sure that merely playing well will be enough. Of course, winning is a great habit to get into, and I would personally want Rooney to be heading to the World Cup after he has won his latest Premier League title. That perhaps in a nutshell is the best reason why the player should be forcing through a move away from Old Trafford this month. Also, a move abroad could also be on the cards that can equally put Rooney in a better mood ahead of Brazil.
