Man Utd Transfers: 5 Reasons Why Koke Should Have Been Moyes' Number One Target

4. Koke Has Provided Eight Assists This Season

One thing that we must say is that Koke is a creative genius, despite the fact that we are only just into the second half of the season €“ the player has already been responsible for eight assists in La Liga during the current campaign. Only Cesc Fabregas has managed to perform better than in Spain with an amazing 10 assists. Even across the major European leagues, there have only been a handful of players that have managed to be more creative than this. Other than Fabregas, these are Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and James Rodriguez €“ I think that we would all agree that all of those players would all move for massive transfer fees should they move on. This illustrates the talent that the player has, certainly in terms of creating chances for others. I know there are a number of people that feel that adding creativity to the Man Utd team isn€™t necessarily the answer. However, you do have to look at the fact that the team haven€™t been that free-scoring that season €“ and part of that might be due to missing a creative spark. At the time of writing, Man Utd still have Rooney in the building and he has certainly delivered on the creative front; the argument goes that the team don€™t need a player of Mata€™s or Koke€™ ability because of that. However, I believe that argument to be centrally flawed because Rooney€™s future is by no means secure, and you need multiple options in your team anyway.
