Man Utd Transfers: 5 Reasons Why Koke Should Have Been Moyes' Number One Target

5. He Would Be The Ideal Replacement For Rooney (Should He Leave)

With the transfer window open there is plenty of speculation going around at the moment regarding the movement of certain players. The big story at the moment is news of Man Utd€™s interest in Chelsea€™s Juan Mata, some people suggesting that the Spaniard would be signed to eventually replace Wayne Rooney. Obviously, there is no tangible evidence at the moment that the England striker will move on during this window, but if he did it would actually be Koke who would be the ideal replacement. The main thing here is the player€™s ability to be utilized in so many different attacking roles across midfield; it€™s probably fair to say that he is not one to be used as a striker, but United certainly have other options for that role. The thing about Rooney is it didn€™t really matter where you played him, he would still find a way to impact a football match €“ and he has always done so with his ability to score and assist goals. Koke is still young so it€™s difficult to draw too many comparisons €“ but he seems to have similar attributes.
