Man Utd Transfers: 5 Reasons Why The Reds Don't Need Falcao

3. Robert Lewandowski Is Better Value

Lewandowski At a reported £50 million, you have to ask yourself, if Ferguson really does feel the need to bring in another striker, aren't their better options out there? Players who are better value for money? Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski, for example, who has been a long-term transfer target for the Reds, would cost a fraction of the price Ferguson would be shelling out on Falcao, and at £18 million, represents far better value for money. The Polish international has been just as prolific as Falcao has in Europe recently, bagging 29 goals in 40 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side this season. His arrival might also help get the best out of former team-mate Shinji Kagawa, who has been a relative disappointment since his move to Old Trafford from Dortmund last summer. But then, Lewandowski's arrival would pose the same sort of problems to Welbeck and Rooney as the arrival of Falcao would, and I really do feel United don't need to sign another forward this summer, especially given their current front-line have helped Ferguson's side race into an unassailable lead at the Premier League summit this season.
