linked with a move to a number of clubs this summer and despite his agent claiming he would only leave Amsterdam for footballing reasons, Manchester United have the power to attract a player of his quality.
Borussia Dortmund had been interested prior to capturing Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Liverpool have also been linked. The lightweight midfielder scored a career best 10 goals for Ajax in the Eredivisie last season as they lifted their third successive league title. Champions League football is guaranteed for Eriksen next season even without a move away from the club, but what else is there left to win with Ajax? Perhaps playing too far forward means he wont be a replacement for Scholes.
