There were rumours that Manchester United had agreed a deal with Bayern Munich Dante and he certainly would have been a great signing for David Moyes and the club, signing a defender who has proven himself as a key asset for the best club in Europe. However Dante was quick to deny any rumours that he had agreed to sign for Manchester United and the fans were let down once more. Dante did appreciate the interest and it shows he is doing something right to gauge interest from a club of Manchester United's stature. But the recurring problem I have found with David Moyes is that he seems to give up on his targets too easy. Clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea who just refuse to give up on a target whereas David Moyes seems to give up after a polite rejection, he lacks the ruthlessness and the mentality to not give up and make sure he ends up with his target after multiple bids. Dante did say he likes the interest from Manchester United, yet David Moyes sat back and let the window run its course when he could have been putting in another bid followed by another bid to test Guardiola and Bayern Munich's resolve to hold on to the Brazilian. Dante would have been a fantastic addition to a poor Manchester United defence.
