Man Utd Transfers: Predicting First 5 David Moyes Signings

4. Cesc Fabregas

The former Arsenal captain was strongly tipped to become one of Moyes' first summer signings earlier this week with reports suggesting the Barcelona midfielder could be set for a move to Old Trafford. The Spaniard has been a key figure in the Catalan's La Liga-winning team this season and made more appearances for the Nou Camp giants than he did in any of his last three seasons in North London under Arsene Wenger. However, that has not prevented claims the 26-year old could be set for a £25 million return to England just less than two years after departing these shores, and at that price, Moyes would be getting himself a bargain. Barca paid £35 million for his services back in 2011, and if Moyes can get him for a knock-down fee, he would be demonstrating that he is indeed a shrewd tactician in the transfer market. He would also be signing himself an able replacement for the retired Paul Scholes, too. Fabregas was the main creative force during his Arsenal days, creating 100 assists for his teammates, while at Barca, he's been similarly effectual in that department with 32 creations of goals during his time in Spain.
