Man Utd Transfers: Xherdan Shaqiri £12 Million Bid Coming?
The Swiss winger is available on the cheap following Stoke's relegation.
Manchester United are reportedly eager to sign Stoke winger Xherdan Shaqiri who is keen on a stay in the Premier League following the Potters' relegation, according to The Sun.
Liverpool have also been linked with the 26-year-old who has previously had spells with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan as he is available for just £12m and has shone at this summer's World Cup, scoring a late winner in Switzerland's 2-1 win over Serbia in the group stage.
Shaqiri was one of the few highlights as Stoke City were relegated from the Premier League with just 33 points. The Swiss international scored eight goals and assisted seven more in the league which has impressed both Reds boss Jurgen Klopp and United manager Jose Mourinho who believes he is ideal as a squad player.
Mourinho has allegedly told friends how impressed he is by Shaqiri and the playmaker has made it clear a move to Old Trafford would be of interest.
Following Switzerland's exit from the World Cup, Shaqiri discussed the potential move with Sporx, saying:-
"Of course, I would like to play on the biggest stage in football. I hope I can stay in the Premier League. I don't rule out anything."
