Man Utd vs Arsenal - 5 Reasons Why Gunners' Undefeated Streak Will End

5. Mathieu Flamini Is Unlikely To Start

The French midfielder has been pivotal to the Gunners' progress this season, with many hailing him as more important than Mesut Ozil, not bad a player brought in on a free transfer because he was hanging round the club's training facilities! A hustling bustling player in the middle of the park, the former AC Milan man showed just what Arsenal had been missing for the last few seasons. The France international has also made centre backs Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny look like world beaters, having proved an effective first line of defence in front of them. However, the 29-year-old sustained a thigh injury in the win at Crystal Palace last month, and has missed the club's last three games, and looks like he will not be fit in time for the trip to United, and even if he is, he probably won't start. Wenger will most likely use Mikel Arteta in the same role on Sunday, with the Spaniard impressing this week in Flamini's absence, but the biting tackles of the Frenchman will be sorely missed.
