Movember: 12 Greatest Moustaches In Newcastle United History

4. Terry McDermott

If you ask Terry Mac now what his job at Newcastle was supposed to be, he probably won't be able to tell you much more than "I was the gaffer's buffer", but the picture above sums him up perfectly. He was the outrageous uncle who put his arm around Newcastle's star talents and kept Keegan sane, entertaining the Enteratainers. And his image as the court jester who wasn't to be messed with was always helped wonderfully by his commitment to his 'tache, worn since his playing days.

3. Philippe Albert

The classiest defender Newcastle fans will have ever seen, and capable of sublime feats of skill, including that physics defying, Sir Alex infuriating slow chip over Peter Schmeichel's head, Philippe Albert is a bona-fide legend. Injuries cut his career way too short, but for a few glorious years under Kevin Keegan the moustachioed marvel from Belgium bustled his way into the hearts of the Toon Army. And there's a good chance that whenever anyone mentions famous Geordie moustaches, this defensive idol immediately springs to mind.
