Napoli 2-0 Arsenal: Champions League Player Ratings

Arsenal

Wojciech Szczesny: Dealt with a tame Pandev effort first half and saved from Armero after the break. Made some strange decisions at times and beaten twice. 4.5/10.

Carl Jenkinson: Played himself into trouble after a long spell of Gunners possession first half. Second goal came down this side. 4.5/10.

Per Mertesacker: Got Jenkinson out of trouble and intercepted Higuain when Napoli threatened. No clean sheet for giant German though. 5.5/10.

Laurent Koscielny: Sharp in defence to deny Pandev, made a mistake that led to Callejon chance second half. Made up for that later by pressurizing Higuain. Again lack of clean sheet means just an average mark. 5/10.

Kieran Gibbs: Quiet performance from Gunners left back. 5/10.

Mathieu Flamini: Holding player failed to handle Callejon when he moved centrally. 5/10.

Mikel Arteta: Gunners captain sent off for two bookings and a second poor performance in four days. 4/10.

Tomas Rosicky: Let Armero run off the back of him as Napoli countered second half. Subbed. 5/10.

Mesut Ozil: Popped up out wide on either flank and centrally. Never really created anything special though. 5/10.

Santi Cazorla: Quiet performance from the Spaniard and subbed with a quarter to go. 5/10.

Olivier Giroud: Saw best first half opening parried to safety by Rafael. Occupied the Napoli centre halves. Booked. 6/10.

Subs: Aaron Ramsey: Replaced Cazorla for the final quarter. Booked for a spat with Fernandez. 5/10.

Nacho Monreal: Only given 15 minutes in place of Rosicky. Rating N/A.
