Having an NBA All Star game without LeBron James is like Littlefinger going through a season of Game of Thrones with a consistent accent - it's not going to happen.

LeBron is the best basketball player on the planet right now, and though he has had critics in the past he has had no problem shutting those critics up.

When LeBron left the Cavs for the Miami Heat the Cavs were the best team in the league and the Heat were one of the worst. One year later, the Heat are at the top of the tree and the Cavs are terrible. Fast forward to LeBron re-joining the Cavs, the become dominant in the East and the Heat fall as expected. This is no coincidence; the is the impact LeBron has on whatever team he plays for.

There is no denying the talent of the man; he is not called The King for nothing. James has dragged the Cavs to the Finals for three years running, and the smart money says he will do it again next season.

You would have to go back to 2004 for the last time LeBron wasn't an all star, and that record will most likely stand until he retires from the game.
