Newcastle 2014-15 Season Review - Player Ratings

31. Jak Alnwick - 2

Appearances (All Competitions): 7 (1) Minutes Played (Premier League): 495 Clean Sheets(Premier League): 0 Yellow Cards (Premier League): 0 Red Cards (Premier League): 0
Called upon off the bench against Chelsea in December, Alnwick performed admirably - aside from completely missing the cross that led to Didier Drogba's goal - for those 45 minutes. However, in the other seven appearances he made he was simply a liability - and was woeful during the 4-1 defeat at Arsenal and the 4-0 hammering at Tottenham Hotspur in the Capital One Cup quarter-final. His contract is up and he has no future at St James' Park, but he did come out of nowhere to try and fill in during a goalkeeping crisis at Newcastle.
