2. Sign up Ba
Its been written before and itll be written again but Newcastle United have to make Demba Bas signing of a new contract an absolute priority before the transfer window opens again in January. After a cold 2nd half to last season no club fancied a gamble on the Senegalese international who has a well-documented knee issue. With Ba now back to his electric best (10 goals so far this season) expect clubs to flock for his signature. The day Ba appears on the scoresheet expect tabloids to publish stories about one of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham shaping up bids that would trigger his £7.5 million release clause. Progress on that front looks bleak however with Ba rejecting Newcastles latest offer, reportedly holding out for wages of £90k per week, well above the Magpies current wage structure.
