Newcastle: 5 Reasons Why Alan Pardew Will Be Sacked In November

2. Poor Tactical Decisions

Alan Pardew has been guilty of some rather baffling tactical decisions of late. Toward the end of last season, he played a series of players out of position, namely Moussa Sissoko, who has found himself shunted out wide and even used as a No.10 to suit Pardew's unpopular long-ball tactics in the past, which baffled many. Then there's the strange substitution of Loic Remy against Sunderland at the weekend, with Shola Ameobi coming on to replace the Frenchman with 20 minutes left. This was at a point when the game was delicately poised at 1-1, with Newcastle going in search of a winner, and so the decision to haul off your top goalscorer for the season so far was perplexing. It is questionable tactical decisions such as these that somewhat belie the fact Pardew was once named manager of the season and makes you ask whether he knows what he's doing anymore.
