It has been ten years since Newcastle and Leicester met each other in the Premier League, and the first top flight game in a decade couldn't have come at a more important time for the home side. With the smallest gap between Alan Pardew's under-performing men and 20th position, a win is beyond necessary, it is utterly essential, especially with Spurs and Liverpool to come in the league next. Leicester will not be a push over, by any means: they have been a thorn in the Magpies' side in the past, including an unlikely 2-0 victory in 1996 that handed the Foxes their first ever Premier League win. Given Newcastle's wounded state, the Foxes will have a kill in their nostrils, and they should have nothing to fear after making an impressive start to their return to the top flight.
