Newcastle: 7 Problems Pardew Still Needs To Fix Before QPR

5. Remy Cabella's Strength

Sooner or later, Remy Cabella needs another extended run in the first team. Thanks to his higher price tag he has the weight of expectation on him, and he needs to deliver quickly before people start to complain about him, or even call him a failure. The thing with Cabella is that he's nothing like a failure: he has the second highest successful take-on rate at the club, has created by far the most chances (19), and his passing accuracy is 87% (second only to Jack Colback and Steven Taylor). But he spends too much time on his backside, rolling around, and his ability to win the ball in strong challenges is woefully low at the minute. Pardew needs to get Cabella working more on his strength, and get him up to speed with what to expect from Premier League defenders and referees to turn those good stats into something more tangible - like goals.
