Newcastle And Celtic Track 21-Year-Old Norwegian Forward

The Magpies had success with Ayoze Perez - and they are looking to continue that in Norway.

Newcastle United remain buoyed by the rapid development of Ayoze Perez - but they have now turned their attentions to a 21-year-old Norwegian forward. Perez was snapped up for just £1.5 million from Tenerife last summer and he went on to prove a major hit, netting seven times for the Magpies first team. And now Newcastle believe they can have the same success with Veton Berisha, a 21-year-old Norwegian forward plying his trade at Viking but whose contract is up this summer and who is also attracting interest from Celtic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9d6tKYF85U Berisha has netted nine times in just 13 appearances already in 2015 - and he has scored 25 goals in 116 games in all during five seasons at Viking in Norway's premier division. According to The Chronicle, Newcastle are determined to bolster this development squad this summer with at least two additions, and Berisha is currently on their radar. With Racing Santander forward David Concha another youngster the Magpies are keeping their eye on, it appears that it will not just be the first-team squad at Newcastle that will be strengthened in the coming weeks. Berisha started his club career at Egersunds IK, where he spent a season in their senior team, before undergoing a trial at Manchester City.
