8. Wilfried Bony
Source: The Mirror Towards the end of the January transfer window Newcastle were heavily linked with Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony, and though a deal failed to materialise in the end, the Magpies have continually been linked with the striker. He has carried on where he left of before January: currently he is the Dutch leagues top scorer with 26 goals, which have fired Arnhem to the brink of European qualification. Reports suggest he has attracted Liverpools attention in recent months, and this weekend has seen reports that he is close to a move to West Ham (
via the MailOnline) Either way, it looks like he will leave Arnhem sooner rather than later, and Newcastle may yet throw their hats into the ring. Newcastle could be a great destination for him: Bony is an Ivory Coast international team-mate of Cheick Tiote, who also played in Holland, which could work in the club's favour. With a goalscorer very much high on Newcastles list of priorities in the summer, Bony could be a great option. At just 24 and with bags of goals in him he could be a very exciting player for Newcastle.
