Newcastle Transfers: 10 Biggest Summer Rumours That Could Happen

7. Aymen Abdennour

AbdennourSource: Talksport The next man being linked with a move to Newcastle is another player playing in the French league, Aymen Abdennour, who currently plays for Toulouse and has impressed in Ligue 1 this season. He is also a Tunisian international with more than 20 caps to his name. Abdennour primarily plays at left back, which could be an area that Newcastle will need to reinforce, with Danny Simpson likely to leave in the summer and Davide Santon, who would offer extra cover to Simpson's position, linked with a move away from the club. If AC Milan do come in, reports suggest that Davide Santon would leave the club, increasing the need for reinforcement at full back. Once more Abdennour is the right side of 25 so would fit in with Newcastle€™s transfer policy and United have dealt with Toulouse before, as January signing Moussa Sissoko came from the club, so they could have a leg up on the competition for the full back. West Ham and apparently Barcelona are also interested in the Tunisian so it will be interesting to see whether Newcastle can bring him to the club.
