Source: Sky Sports From outside of the club, it looks as though Newcastle currently have a strong desire to sign younger players for the future of the club: the signings of Haidara and Bigiramana have shown in recent months that the club are committed to such an agenda, and Imbula could be another one to fit the bill. The 20 year old currently plays in the French second tier for Guingamp and has apparently been watched by Newcastle scouts. Imbula is a defensive midfielder and if brought in would very much be one for the future and there would be potential for him to go out on loan for experience. When recently asked about the move he didnt dismiss it, commenting on how he wants to concentrate on Guingamp till the end of the season and then he will consider his options.
