Club: Wolfsburg Apparently, this 6'3 German centre-half has been on Newcastle's radar since the summer, and the club have scouted him already (as well as team-mate and compatriot Sebastian Jung who plays right-back for Wolfsburg). If that's truly the case - and the scouting reports seem to suggest it is - Newcastle are already looking at one of the best defensive prospects in Europe, who is unlikely to come in at a typical "bargain basement" price. He's already caught the attention of other European clubs, and a move can surely only be a matter of time. He's tall and strong and he would be a huge statement of intent, if he could be persuaded to join Newcastle - and presumably the climb up the table should help.
