Club: Sociedad Like Knoche, if Newcastle went after Sociedad's Spanish powerhouse, it would be a true statement of intent, and they surely wouldn't be the only interested party. Having helped his side - now with new manager David Moyes of course - to seventh in La Liga last season, Martinez caught the attention of a number of major clubs, apparently including Man Utd and Real Madrid, but he opted to stay and the interest didn't manifest in concrete offers. Unfortunately for him, last season's form disappeared (hence Moyes getting the job) and he is apparently looking for a way out in January. He's still a major talent, and while he would probably cost a lot, he's the sort of top level talent who should never be ignored.
