Following the dismissal of manager Jean Tiagna, along with the entire back room staff, the club has seen itself fall victim to a continuous downwards spiral. With threats of more strikes amongst the players, Anelka is no doubt looking for a way out. This stage looks set for a return to the Premier League for Anelka. Newcastle's main competition in his signature, if they were to approach him, would be Harry Redknapp's Queens Park Rangers, who are reportedly interested. However, with QPR well over budget on their wage bill, and with Newcastle the much more safer option, it seems a move up North could be a viable move for the Frenchman.
