The one striker all Newcastle fans want to see back at St James' Park is Demba Ba. Newcastle were believed to
have been interested in re-signing their former star on loan over the summer, but the deal didn't come to light and the Senegal international stayed at Chelsea. There, Ba has struggled after leaving Newcastle in January this year, having managed to score just two league goals from 16 appearances; a stark contrast to the 13 he managed in the North East in his final season with the Magpies.
Reports suggest Newcastle remain interested in re-signing Ba in the New Year, with the former West Ham man down in the pecking order behind Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o.
