4. Moussa Sissoko

Considering that midfielder Yohan Cabaye is out for an undetermined period of time with a groin injury, Alan Pardew might want to consider bringing in a new midfielder this January. According to reports, the Magpies manager has been monitoring Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko since last month, and is thought to be keen on the Frenchman. Sissoko is out of contract with Toulouse in June, and with only six months remaining on his current deal, is free to talk to and sign a pre-contract deal with a foreign club during this transfer window. Italian side Juventus are also said to be monitoring the player however, and Pardew could find himself locked in a head-to-head battle for his signature. Source(s):
