4. Mathieu Valbuena
With Newcastle having adopted a French camp into the squad in the last few seasons, Mathieu Valbuena would be a welcomed addition to The Toon Army. The 28-year-old had another solid season for French side Marseille
playing in 37 Ligue 1 games and has been a reliable member of the team. The North East club have been
linked with Valbuena in recent weeks and with Cabaye set to be leaving the club, Newcastle could use that money to secure the Frenchman. The 28-year-old has also been a
target for Arsenal who are also keen on the midfielder. Valbuena would add more stability to the Newcastle midfield and would help fill the gap that Cabayes departure will cause. Newcastle have started to build a team that revolves around French players with Moussa Sissoko, Hatem Ben Arfa, Mathieu Debuchy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Yoan Gouffran all part of the first team, so Valbuena will likely settled in fairly easily.
